Teresa Palmer laughs off new 'Mad Max' role and talks 'Sorcerer's Apprentice'

Aussie actresses' reaction speaks volumes

You probably don't know the name, but you may recognize the face.  And if you didn't, you will soon.  Australian actress Theresa Palmer first broke into Hollywood in the Adam Sandler comedy "Bedtime Stories," but this summer she reunites with Walt Disney Studios for Jerry Bruckheimer's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice."

Palmer appeared with co-stars Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel at San Francisco's WonderCon this weekend to promote "Apprentice."  The fantasy flick finds the 24-year-old actress playing a childhood friend (or is that sweetheart?) of Baruchel's who gets caught up in the battle to save the world from an evil sorcerer.

Speaking to the film's director, John  Turtletaub, earlier this week, the filmmaker heaped tons of praise on Palmer but also revealed she's expected to appear in George Miller's upcoming fourth "Mad Max" film.  When asked by HitFix about the project on Saturday, Palmer laughed and said she couldn't discuss it or whether it existed, but her reaction clearly reveals the truth.

You can watch the interview with Palmer embedded on this page or for a larger version, click here.

"The Sorcerer's Apprentice"
opens nationwide on July 16.
