It will be a surprise to most moviegoers of the male gender, but one of the bigger movie openings next weekend won't be the Peter Jackson produced "District 9."  That flick may still have a banner frame, but its the Rachel McAdams/Eric Bana romance "The Time Traveler's Wife" which is generating just as much buzz, but with women.

Generating some of the excitement is that McAdams is still beloved for her role in "The Notebook" and "Wife" marks the first time she's returned to the melodramatic genre since that touchstone film.  Bana, on the other hand, is dipping his toe into the romantic drama waters for the first time.  It won't hurt that the original novel is still a bestseller and at the publish date of this article, the audio book for "Wife" is No. 1 on iTunes audio book sales chart.
