Watch: New trailer for 'The Last Airbender' is full of elemental action
M. Night Shyamalan's adaptation of the animated favorite opens this summer
Unless you happen to have boundless confidence in M. Night Shyamalan or happen to be a huge Dev Patel fan, the selling point for Paramount's "The Last Airbender" is its title and the great love fans have for the popular TV series.
After breaking out the visual effects for a big Super Bowl ad last weekend, "The Last Airbender" returns with a full trailer accentuating Shyamalan's realization of the style of the animated series. In addition, for the first time, there's an effort to set out the foundations of the plot for the sake of neophytes. That means more characters and dialogue than in any previous "Airbender" preview.
"The Last Airbender," starring Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz and Jackson Rathbone, opens on July 2.
