Did Michael Jackson still have it?
HitFix's own Melinda Newman had doubts about whether the Michael Jackson London concerts would ever occur, but if the footage released by CNN today reveals anything it's that the King of Pop was taking this new endeavor pretty seriously.
Jackson appears healthy in the clip where he sings part of "They Don't Care About Us" from his History album and the show itself looked less kitschy than some of the singer's 90s tours. Of course, the performers trademark wind machine was still in effect. Additionally, and what has become a necessary staple for most pops stars, a legion of dancers surround Jackson as he performs.
The footage was recorded during a June 23 rehearsal at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
