Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson Bring The Avengers Together at Comic-Con 2010
'Hawkeye' (Jeremy Renner) and 'Bruce Banner' (Mark Ruffalo) are the nights surprise announcements
The Avengers assembled for the first time in San Diego this past Saturday at Comic - Con 2010. New video from Paramount today briefly gives us our first video glimpse of the superhero team as it presently stands.
Panning from left to right is Iron Man, (Robert Downey Jr.) S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg,) Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson,) Thor (Chris Hemsworth,) Captain America (Chris Evans,) Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson,) Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner,) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo.) Director Joss Whedon and Marvel's Kevin Feige fill out the lineup.
Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Nick Fury gave a wonderful introduction, (that you'll just have to imagine) surprising the Con crowd by announcing Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo.) Absent heroes from the original super-group were The Wasp and Ant-Man, who may or may not be appearing in the movie. "The Avengers" will not start shooting until spring of next year, so there is still plenty of time should the tiny heroes still need to be cast.
The Avengers is slated for release May 4th, 2012
