Watch: Katharine McPhee shows off her new look in 'Had It All' music video
Expect about three-and-a-half minutes of mugging
Katharine McPhee in "Had It All"
We didn't want to make a big deal about former "American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee's new dramatic blonde look when the "Had It All" single was released, but her looks seem to take front-and-center in her new video for the track.
Granted, Katharine McPhee is fantastic to look at. The new single is a little country, which would explain the desert-ranch background, to a degree. But this clip is really just a big hodge-podge of McPhee mugging for the camera, in model-like poses, with designer jewelry and really giving that new Lady GaGa 'do a big party.
Also, particularly with the gooey black-crayon eyes, she's reminding us of Annie Lennox. In look, not sound. OK, now I feel old.
McPhee has pushed her forthcoming album , "Unbroken," to Jan. 5 for release, which will give adult top 40 and adult contemporary radio a good long time to mull on the single.
