Watch: Jay-Z hits the studio with Robin Thicke for 'Sex Therapy'
Singer revs up for a Dec. 15 release date
Robin Thicke
There's a lot of exciting of albums slated to be released around Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, but little has been mentioned about one of my personal faves, Robin Thicke, whose "Sex Therapy" is skedded to drop on Dec. 15.
Originally due Dec. 7, the album comes on the heels of 2008's "Something Else." What will make this set a little different, though, is the promise of more and bigger stars, included Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Estelle and Kid Cudi.
Below is a video of Jigga in the studio with Thicke, going over his contribution to a track called "Meiplé." In it, Jay-Z drops the name of his "black Brigitte Bardot" Beyonce, and applauds the track's transition back to its beat.
Fans were given a first taste of "Sex Therapy" with the release of the title track single in October -- if you haven't heard it yet, stream it over at the singer's website (and check the "It's My Party" revamp). The falsetto-laden R&B track is finally making impact on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts, but I'm eager to hear a crossover pop track, you beautiful man.
