Michael Mann's "Public Enemies" looks like it will be the perfectly timed antidote to the mind-numbing "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."
A re-telling of the later years of notorious bank robber John Dillinger and the U.S. government's efforts to take him down, the picture is an intriguing mix of drama an gun battles in the filmmaker's intimate, hand held style. These eight new clips featuring stars Johnny Depp as Dillinger, Christian Bale as agent Purvis (on the case to take him down), Billy Crudup as the infamous J. Edgar Hoover and Marion Cotillard radiantly portraying Dillinger's girlfriend Billie, give a perfect glimpse at the style and intensity of the film.

"Public Enemies" opens nationwide on Friday, July 3.
