Video of the Day: Ed Helms and John C. Reilly in 'Cedar Rapids' Trailer
Helms gets his starring role in insurance salesman comedy.
It's hard to believe "The Daily Show" has been around long enough to launch the major careers of Steve Carrell, Stephen Colbert and even Mo Rocca. Being a corresponded does not always guarantee major success, but it comes with the cache of the show and instantly makes you a familiar face.
Ed Helms is certainly in this crowd, and now he gets his star turn in "Cedar Rapids" where he plays a late blooming insurance salesman who goes to a convention, meets John C. Reilly and goes wild. Fellow Daily Show alum Rob Corddry makes an appearance as well. The film is directed by Miguel Arteta (Youth In Revolt.)
There's a dark comedy feeling to this, and Ed Helms seems perfectly cast as a somewhat dopey man-child. He's kind of a late bloomer from Daily Show as well and we hope this goes well for him. And so the trailer for "Cedar Rapids" is the Video of the day
"Cedar Rapids" will be in movie theaters Friday February 11th, 2011
