Usher's 'Raymond' album gets solid release date
Good news for last-minute Christmas shoppers
Usher
Usher and his label Jive have put a Dec. 21 release date to his "Raymond v. Raymond" full-length, originally due on Dec. 7.
The album boasts the track "Papers," which has been on the rise as of late. We reviewed the firey, divorce-centered single last month, comparing it to the aural equivalent of air being sucked out of a room.
There are no other details about the album as of yet, but we expect -- no, demand! -- a music video, just to see how his label handles D-I-V-O-R-C-E in a video format. The "papers" that legally separated him from ex-wife Tameka Foster were signed this year.
Usher has no tour dates, otherwise we'd be listing 'em here. He does have the date Dec. 31, 1969 up in the tour section of his website, though not noting why that date is significant.
The R&B singer's last album was "Here I Stand," released last year.
