With production on the Day Eight of "24" about to begin, the FOX drama is pulling in more major cast members.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Westfeldt and John Boyd are the latest fresh faces in the "24" camp. The two actors join Anil Kapoor and Chris Diamantopoulos as new "24" additions. And more names are soon to come, since the trade says that there are as many as nine fresh roles to be filled for the next season of "24," premiering in January.

Boyd ("Fringe") will be a cast regular, playing a CTU systems analyst named Jonah Schwartz. A new systems analyst? We'll just assume he's probably a mole.

Westfeldt will recur as Meredith Reed, a journalist with ties to Kapoor's Arman Hashemi, a Middle Eastern leader in the United States on a diplomatic mission.

Most recently seen in a multi-episode arc on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," Westfeldt's credits include "Notes from the Underbelly" and the feature "Kissing Jessica Stein," which she also wrote.
