'Twilight' producers recruit Halle Berry for 'Dark Tide'
Thriller would find Oscar winner returning to the water
Halle Berry may be dawning a bikini again for a role in "Dark Tide."
Halle Berry may be booked for the rest of the year.
The Oscar-winner is close to committing to star in the new action-thriller "Dark Tide." According to Variety, the Clark Johnson directed flick will be produced by Temple Hill and "Twilight" franchise producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey.
Independently financed for under $20 million, the picture will find Berry playing a diving instructor who returns to the water after a near-death experience with a Great White shark.
Johnson is best known for directing "S.W.A.T." and episodes of "The Wire" and "The Shield."
Berry finished production on another indie, the drama "Frankie and Alice,"this past spring.
No word if Godfrey will recruit any of his "Twilight" stable of stars (perhaps a Miss Rachelle Lefevre?) to the project.
If everything can be locked down, "Dark Tide" will begin shooting before the end of the year in South Africa.
