Did you miss "Twilight" during its blockbuster theatrical run? How about during its initial best-selling DVD release? Seriously, what are you waiting for? TV? Well, Showtime finally has a premiere date for you.
The premium cable network has announced that "Twilight" will have its television premiere on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010.
This would be the first film in Stephenie Meyer's teen vampire franchise, the one that made $191 million in its domestic launch last fall.
It's not to be confused with "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," which opens on Nov. 20 in theaters. And it's not to be confused with "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," which recently finished shooting and will open on June 30, 2010.
Seriously, who hasn't seen "Twilight" already? We guess this might welcome a whole new audience to the romantic yearning between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson). Or something.

December 28, 2009 at 4:48PM EST Reply to CommentSeriously...January 23rd? I've been waiting and waiting for this movie to come out on premium channels and it takes THIS long? Why? Do other movies take this long (14 months) to come out on cable? Maybe it's just me.

July 25, 2010 at 4:11PM EST Reply to CommentI have not seen any of the Twilight films yet. I thought at first that I was a little too old for it. My interest in the books was perked because so many of the women in my office are fiercely in love with the characters and the storyline. I wanted to experience for myself why they are so loyal to Twilight. Unfortunately I was not able to allow my imagination to form interpretations of the characters because I read the books long after the movies were released. The characters already had the faces of the real actors in my head based on the pictures and movie trailers that were released. I am somewhat interested in watching the movies and am pleased to see them come to television.
