Fast National ratings for Wednesday, August 12, 2009.

NBC didn't post super-powered numbers on Wednesday night, but without facing two hours of "So You Think You Can Dance" for the first time in weeks, the network won easily.

Among adults 18-49, NBC posted a 1.9 rating, just ahead of the 1.6 rating for ABC, CBS' 1.4 rating and the 1.2 rating for FOX. The CW was last in the key demo with a 0.6 rating.

Overall, NBC averaged an estimated 7.39 million viewers to go with a 4.6 rating/8 share. CBS' 3.8/7 and ABC's 3.7/7 followed closely. FOX was fourth with a 2.4/4, still beating the 0.9/2 for The CW.

Things were slow enough on Wednesday that "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" won the 8 p.m. hour for ABC with a 4.1/8. NBC's "America's Got Talent" recap was second overall and won the hour in the 18-49 demo. FOX's "Bones" had a 2.8/5, just in front of the 2.7/5 for CBS' "The New Adventures of Old Christine" and "Gary Unmarried." The CW trailed with a 0.9/2 for "America's Next Top Model."

NBC had the night's highest ratings in the 9 p.m. hour with a 6.9/12 for "America's Got Talent." CBS' "Criminal Minds" was second with a 4.0/7, topping the 3.4/6 for ABC's "Wipeout." FOX's "Lie to Me" was fourth with a 2.1/4, while The CW's "America's Got Talent" improved in its second hour.

CBS won the night's final hour with a 4.6/8 for "CSI: NY." ABC's "Primetime" special was second, while NBC's "The Philanthropist" was third with a 3.1/6.
