Fast National ratings for Monday, Jan. 19, 2009.

FOX's new Monday pairing of "House" and "24" delivered strong ratings in their first teaming of 2009.

Among adults 18-49, FOX did a 4.8 rating, beating CBS' 4.1 rating in the key demographic. ABC was a respectable third with a 3.2 rating, while NBC's 1.7 rating and the 1.1 rating for The CW were well back.

Both CBS and FOX averaged a 7.9 rating/12 share, but FOX's estimated average audience of 13.46 million was far larger than CBS'. ABC was third with a 5.7/9, while NBC's 3.6/6 and The CW's 1.7/2 trailed.

FOX started the night in first with an 8.7/13 for "House," which trumped the 6.3/9 for "Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS. ABC's first hour of "The Bachelor" was a close third, followed by NBC's "Superstars of Dance," which continued to fade with a 3.7/5. The CW's "Gossip Girl" did a 1.6/2 for fifth.

CBS moved into first place at 9 p.m. with "Two and a Half Men" (9.9/14) and "Worst Week" (6.1/9). CBS also held off FOX's "House" (7.0/10) in the 18-49 demographic. ABC's "The Bachelor" was third with a 6.9/12. NBC's "Superstars" was fourth, while The CW's "One Tree Hill" had a 1.8/3 for fifth.

In the 10 p.m. hour, CBS' "CSI: Miami" had a 9.3/16. ABC's "True Beauty" was second with a 4.0/7, leaving NBC's "Momma's Boys" in third.
