Fast National ratings for November 30, 2009.
With CBS sitting out the final night of November and ABC between seasons of "Dancing with the Stars," FOX aired a new "House" and "Lie to Me" and captured the night's ratings race in most key measures.
Among adults 18-49, FOX averaged a 3.8 rating, comfortably beating the 2.5 rating for CBS and ABC's 2.4 rating in the key demographic. NBC was fourth with a 1.9 rating, leaving The CW in fifth with a 1.1 rating.
Overall, FOX averaged an estimated 10.38 million viewers to go with a 6.3 rating/9 share. CBS was second with a 5.6/9 and an estimated 8.65 million viewers. ABC's 4.8/7 and NBC's 3.4/5 followed. The CW trailed with a 1.6/2.
Note the ABC's Boston affiliate showed the Monday night NFL game between the Patriots and Saints.
We somehow suspect that will have inflated ABC's bottom line across the board.
FOX started the night in first with a 7.9/12 for "House," which also won the hour in the 18-49 demo with a 4.8 rating, with both figures solidly up from last week. ABC's "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" and "Shrek the Halls" were second overall with a 5.0/8 and second in the demo with a 3.0 rating. CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" and "Accidentally on Purpose" finished third. NBC's "Heroes" did a 3.5/5 and a 2.5 demo rating for its 2009 finale, both up from last week. The CW's new "One Tree Hill" had a 1.6/2.
CBS' repeats of "Two and a Half Men" and "The Big Bang Theory" took first at 9 p.m. with a 6.7/10 and a 3.2 rating in the demo. ABC's "Find My Family" was second, edging out the 4.6/7 for FOX's "Lie to Me," which improved overall from last week, but failed to rise in the demo. NBC's "Trauma" had a 3.7/6 for fourth. The CW's "Gossip Girl" was fifth with a 1.6/2.
A repeat of "CSI: Miami" won the 10 p.m. hour witha 6/3/10 for CBS. ABC's "Castle" repeat was second. And "The Jay Leno Show"? With a new episode facing two repeats on the other network? It was third witha 3.1/5 and a 1.3 rating in the demo.
