TV Ratings: 'Flashpoint' gives CBS Friday win
FOX's 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' and 'Dollhouse' slip
Enrico Colantoni of 'Flashpoint'
Fast National ratings for Friday, April 3, 2009.
With two of its procedurals in repeats, CBS may have looked vulnerable on Friday night, but a new "Flashpoint" prevented the competition from gaining any traction.
CBS and ABC tied in the key 18-49 demographic with a 1.6 rating. FOX's 1.4 rating and the 1.2 rating for NBC followed closely. The CW trailed with a 0.6 rating.
Overall, though, CBS had first place all to itself, averaging 7.81 million viewers to go with a 4.9 rating/9 share. ABC was second with a 3.5/6. NBC's 2.6/5 was third, beating the 2.4/4 for FOX. The CW's 1.1/2 was fifth.
A repeat of "Ghost Whisperer" has no trouble winning the 8 p.m. hour for CBS with a 4.7/9. ABC's "Wife Swap" was second with a 3.0/6. NBC's "Howie Do It" managed to nip the 2.1/4 for "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." The CW's "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" averaged a 1.2/2 for fifth.
"Flashpoint" delivered a relatively low 5.3/9 for CBS in the 9 p.m. hour, but had no trouble topping ABC's "Supernanny." NBC's "Friday Night Lights" was third with a 2.3/4, narrowly beating the 2.2/4 for FOX's "Dollhouse," which saw its audience dip to 3.486 million viewers. The CW's "America's Next Top Model" was fifth.
CBS won the 10 p.m. hour with a 4.6/8 for a repeat of "Num3rs." ABC's "20/20" had a 4.5/8 for second and actually won the hour in the key demo. "Dateline NBC" was third.
All ratings information comes from preliminary Fast National Nielsen data, which includes live and same-day DVR viewing. All numbers are subject to change.
