Fast National ratings for Friday, May 15, 2009.

The NBC special "Farrah's Story" drove strong ratings on Friday night, though not quite strong enough to fully conquer CBS' usual procedural domination.

Among adults 18-49, CBS and NBC tied with a 2.0 rating, edging ABC's 1.6 rating in the key demo. FOX's 1.2 rating and the 0.7 rating for The CW followed. 

Overall, CBS averaged an estimated 8.98 million viewers and a 5.6 rating/11 share, edging the 5.5/10 for NBC. ABC's 3.6/7 and the 2.1/4 for FOX followed. The CW trailed with a 1.1/2.

CBS started the night with a 5.6/11 for "Ghost Whisperer," comfortably ahead of "Dateline NBC" and the 3.2/7 for "America's Funniest Home Videos" on ABC. The first hour of FOX's "Prison Break" finale had a 2.0/4 on FOX, topping the 1.3/3 for two episodes of "The Game" on The CW.

NBC moved into first at 9 p.m. with the 6.1/11 for "Farrah's Story," beating the 5.3/10 for CBS' "Flashpoint." ABC's "America's Funniest Home Videos" stayed stable in third, bettering the 2.1/4 for the conclusion of the "Prison Break" finale. The CW's "America's Next Top Model" encore was fifth.

"Farrah's Story" stayed first for NBC, with a 6.6/12 in the 10 p.m. hour. CBS' "Numb3rs" had a 6.0/11 for second. ABC's "20/20" trailed.
