Fast National ratings for Friday, Jan. 23, 2009.

With "Ghost Whisperer," "Flashpoint" and "Numb3rs," CBS won all three primetime hours handily and dominated Friday night.

CBS averaged a 2.6 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, beating the 1.6 rating for ABC. NBC and FOX tied for third with a 1.5 rating and The CW's 0.6 rating trailed.

Overall, CBS averaged an estimated 10.8 million viewers in primetime, plus a 6.7 rating/12 share. FOX was a distant second with a 3.6/6. ABC's 3.2/6 and NBCs 3.1/6 followed. The CW was fifth with a 0.9/2.

At 8 p.m. CBS got a 7.1/12 from "Ghost Whisperer," which was the night's most watched program. FOX's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" was second with a 3.6/6, nipping the 3.4/6 for ABC's "Howie Do It." ABC's "Wife Swap" was fourth, bettering the 1.2/2 averaged by "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Game" on The CW.

"Flashpoint" kept CBS on top with a 6.3/11 in the 9 p.m. hour. FOX's "Don't Forget the Lyrics" held onto its lead-in, beating the 3.1/5 for "Supernanny" on ABC. NBC's "Friday Night Lights" had a 2.5/4, also finishing fourth in the 18-49 demo. The CW's "13 - Fear Is Real" had a 0.7/1.

CBS held strong at 10 p.m. with a 6.7/12 for "Numb3rs." ABC's "20/20" took second with a 3.8/7, barely beating "Dateline NBC."
