'True Blood's' Stephen Moyer and '90210's' Lynn Collins join 'Priest'
Ironically, Moyer won't play a bloodsucker in the new Vampire flick
Stephen Moyer at the season two premiere of "True Blood."
No doubt cashing in on their newfound fame, "True Blood's" Stephen Moyer and "90210's" Lynn Collins have joined the cast of Screen Gems' thriller "Priest."
According to Variety, "Priest" finds a warrior priest (Paul Bettany) on the hunt for a murderous band of vampires who have taken his niece. Unlike on blood, Moyer will play the human brother of Bettany's character. Collins will play the pivotal role of the niece. They join a cast that also includes Cam Gigandent (another vampire veteran from "Twilight") and Maggie Q.
Collins recently finished production on "The Blind Side" with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw.
As for Moyer, this is the first opportunity the actor has had to take advantage of his new "True Blood" celebrity on the studio side, especially after the series' record ratings in its second season.
Production on "Priest" begins in Los Angeles on Monday.

August 26, 2009 at 3:42PM EST Reply to CommentI'm glad to see Stephen getting onto the big screen. He's way too hot to be limited to television. Love him as vampire Bill Compton on True Blood. He is a fantastic actor and it's good that he's getting some of the recognition he deserves. Gorgeous man.
