Up first will be Justin Timberlake, guest hosting on May 9. Timberlake is an "SNL" veteran as a host, musical guest and digital short star. He has also made regular guest cameos in skits, attracting rave reviews back in November for a Weekend Update appearance and the Beyonce "Single Ladies" video parody.
Timberlake, whose acting credits include "Alpha Dog" and "Black Snake Moan," doesn't even have anything specific to promote this May. "Saturday Night Live" just likes him.
In addition to guest hosting on the May 9 episode, Timberlake will also be a co-musical guest of sorts, joining Ciara for a performance of the Grammy winner's new single "Love Sex Magic."
The following week, on the show's May 16 season finale, Will Ferrell will make his second appearance as host, promoting his summer comedy "Land of the Lost." Ferrell, a seven-season veteran of the "SNL" cast, will also be appearing on Discovery's "Man vs. Wild" to shill for "Land of the Lost."
The musical guest for the finale will be Green Day. The band's eighth studio album, "21st Century Breakdown," drops on Friday, May 15. It's here that we'd like to pause and remind you that it's been 15 years since the release of "Dookie." Feeling old now?
