'Thor's' brother talks 'Arabian Nights' and 'The Last Song'
It's not bad to be a Hemsworth these days.
The three Aussie brothers, Chris, Luke and Liam all made their mark on the small screen in their native land, but now Chris and Liam are making waves in a much bigger pond: Hollywood. Chris Hemsworth went from relative unknown to booking a major role in the remake of "Red Dawn" and then landed the title role in Marvel Studios' "Thor." The considerably younger Liam stars opposite Miley Cyrus in the next week's romance "The Last Song" and is in negotiations to make a bigger jump as the star of a big 3-D epic; "Arabian Nights." And Luke? Well, he appears to be doing just fine in the land of Oz still, but he might break Liam's 5-week record to landing a studio gig if he ever decides to join his brothers on the left coast.
While Chris instantly stepped into the genre fan spotlight when he landed "Thor," Luke has had something much more frightening to deal with: the tabloids. That's because it was recently revealed the 20-year-old just happens to be dating his co-star and tween phenomenon Cyrus. HitFix sat down recently to talk to Liam about "Last Song," his thought on "Nights" and being a Hemsworth, but smartly didn't inquire about his relationship with the 17-year-old Cyrus.
