The CW has settled on a premiere date for the summer reality series "Plain Jane."
The netlet announced on Thursday (June 3) that "Plain Jane," from "Big Brother veterans Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan plus Amy Palmer, will launch on Wednesday, July 28 at 9 p.m.
That puts "Plain Jane" in the same time slot that yielded reality duds "High Society" and "Fly Girls" for The CW earlier this spring, only without the lead-in cushion of "America's Next Top Model."
A late addition to The CW's roster, "Plain Jane" wasn't even announced until the netlet's upfront presentation last month.
Hosted by Louise Roe, apparently a British fashion expert, each episode of "Plain Jane" will cover aninside-and-outside makeover transforming one woman and giving her a chance to make her romantic dreams come true. Expect hair and makeup advice, plus confident building exercises and, if this clip from the premiere is any indication, shock collars.
Check out a sneak peak at "Plain Jane" or, as we're now calling it, "Shock Collar of Love."
