Taylor Swift under 'CSI' investigation
Country singer will take a guest role on CBS' 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'
The best-selling musical artist of 2008 is about to guest star on an episode of the most-watched scripted show of 2008.
CBS announced Monday (Jan. 12) that the suddenly ubiquitous Taylor Swift will guest star on an upcoming episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
The network offered few hints on the production timetable or airdate for the Swift "CSI" episode, only to say that the singer will play Haley Jones, a teenage whose family runs a seedy Vegas motel.
Breaking with typical "CSI" structure, the episode will track Haley over the course of a year as she makes a series of decisions that eventually lead to tragic consequences.
Tragic consequences? Are there any other kind on "CSI"?
Swift was most recently seen as the musical guest on this past weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live." In addition to singing, she also did a little bit of skit work, flexing those acting muscles.
In 2008, the 19-year-old Swift sold more albums than any recording artist and had the biggest-selling debut week of 2008 for any female artist with the premiere of her second album, "Fearless," which moved over two million copies in its first six weeks of release.
