Disney star Selena Gomez continues to keep busy on the big screen outside the Magic Kingdom. A household name to every tween in America because of her hit Disney Channel series "The Wizards of Waverly Place," Gomez is getting ready to make a jump to the big screen.
According to Variety, the 17-year-old will star and develop the New Line comedy "What Boys Want." The picture will center on a teenage girl who has the power to hear what men are thinking. Not much else is known about the project, but writers Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer are hard at work writing the screenplay. The duo have the upcoming "Step Up 3D" and "Naomi and Eli's No Kiss List" to their credit.
Like fellow Disney stablemate Miley Cyrus, Gomez has a burgeoning music career on the side. Gomez's first studio album, "Kiss & Tell," debuted at no. 9 on Billboard's Top 200 chart last month.
No word on how soon Gomez's teen rom com will be ready for production.
