'Scrubs' star relocates to ABC's 'Law'
Donald Faison books 'The Law,' while 'The 4400' veteran Joel Gretsch spells 'V'
Donald Faison of 'Scrubs'
With a May 6 season (and possibly series) finale approaching, "Scrubs" co-star Donald Faison has landed a lead role in another ABC comedy pilot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Faison will join Cedric the Entertainer in "The Law," a comedy focusing on reserve LAPD officers.
In addition to his long run as Turk on "Scrubs," Faison's credits include the series and feature film versions of "Clueless."
Faison isn't the only "Scrubs" co-star hoping to stick around ABC. Neil Flynn will topline "The Middle" with Patricia Heaton, while "Scrubs" guest star Courteney Cox has "Cougar Town" set up at the network.
In other ABC casting news, Joel Gretsch will play a Catholic priest in the network's revamp of "V." Gretsch is no stranger to other-worldly doings, having appeared in the miniseries "Taken," as well as USA's "The 4400."
Over on FOX, Natalie Martinez will play a potential love interest for Ron (Tyler Labine) a thirtysomething hired to play the father of three boys when their real dad goes to jail in "Sons of Tucson."
And on CBS, Ben Koldyke ("Boldly Going Nowhere") take a lead in "Big D," a comedy about a couple who relocate from New York City to the husband's (Koldyke) hometown in Dallas.
