Even Russell Brand has worries about the solidity of his love life. The "Get Him to the Greek" star is attached to topline an upcoming comedy entitled "The President Stole My Girlfriend" for Warner Bros.

Brand will produced the film with his Branded Films partner Nik Linnen. Beau Bauman is executive producing. Matt Portenoy ("Movie 43") wrote the script.

As for the comedy's plot, it's best to let Brand explain it himself. "In this movie, the president steals the girlfriend of a sexy hippie—me, obviously," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "It was inspired by the night I naively invited (Warners Bros. president) Jeff Robinov for dinner."

How awesome would it be if Brand's real-life wife Katy perry played the girlfriend?

Brand was recently seen in the box office disappointment "Arthur," and will soon co-star in New Line's "Rock of Ages" opposite Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julianne Hough. Brand and Hough will also appear together in Diablo Cody's untitled directorial debut.

I thought Brand was anti-capitalist. I didn't realize he saw women as property.

This seems like a great idea for a movie, although it also screams out for a more average guy in the lead than Brand. Wonder if he'll do an American accent for the role...
