Robert Pattinson feels the pain in 'New Moon' action scene
A definite jump in quality from director Chris Weitz
The Volturi are making things deadly in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
While visiting the set of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" last May, this writer was able to witness the first encounter between the Volturi and "Twilight" heroes Edward (Robert Pattinson), Bella (Kristen Stewart) and the Cullen clan. What we missed was the second half of their meeting which we were told included a riotous fight scene. It appears that getting a peek less than a month before "New Moon's" opening day will suffice.
Summit Entertainment debuted a new clip from the highly-anticipated sequel expanding on that scene on Yahoo today. Click here to watch it full size.
It features a quick look at Michael Sheen's wink-wink performance as Aro, a heroic move by Ashley Greene's Alice (does the girl have any flaws?) and Edward discovering he's no match (at this moment anyway) for Felix (Daniel Crudmore).
Considering some of the criticisms labeled at the scenes released so far regarding stiff dialogue, this is a hint to moviegoers overall that "New Moon" may really be a step up in the franchise.
"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" opens nationwide Nov. 20. Get your tickets and showtimes here.
