Robert Pattinson and the 'Twilight' cast ready for Teen Choice Awards
Looking to capitalize on the mega-ratings MTV received when its MTV Movie Awards became a "Twilight" lovefest, FOX announced today that the stars of the first installment in the vampire franchise, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz, were all set to appear on Monday's Teen Choice 2009 Awards.
Notably absent from the announcement was Rachelle Lefevre who is rumored to be in a legal dispute with "Twilight" studio Summit Entertainment after she was recast in the role of Victoria. Surprise, surprise.
In non-"Twilight" news, FOX also revealed that Miley Cyrus will perform her latest single "Party in the U.S.A." and appearances by slew of today's biggest stars including Zac Efron, Megan Fox, Cameron Diaz, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Morrison, Keke Palmer, Alexis Bledel, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester, Ellen DeGeneres and David Beckham.
Previously announced presenters include Kristen Bell, Jordana Brewster, Vanessa Hudgens, Shawn Johnson, Daren Kagasoff, Kim Kardashian, Jennette McCurdy and Emma Roberts.
Additionally, the cast of "Glee" (Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Jenna Ushkowitz, Chris Colfer, Amber Riley and Kevin McHale) will appear to appropriately plug the upcoming season of the FOX series.
Hosted by the Jonas Brothers, the Teen Choice 2009 Awards will be held Monday, Aug 10 at 8 PM on FOX.
