Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate announced today that they have joined forces to acquire and release J.C. Chandor's thriller "Margin Call." The film will premiere in Park City on Tuesday night but is not part of the dramatic competition at the Sundance Film Festival. This is one of the first deals to be sealed at the festival, following all night negotiations.

Set in the world of the financial industry, the film looks at the key players in an investment firm during the early disastrous stages of the 2008 financial crisis. Zachary Quinto stars as an entry level analyst who discovers some information that could be the downfall of the firm, moral and financial decisions follow as pillars of the financial world collapse around them.

The film is Director J.C. Chandor's first feature, and stars an ensemble cast including Quinto, Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Stanley Tucci and Demi Moore.

Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate plan a 2011 theatrical release for the film.
