It doesn't have a premiere date yet, but "Chuck" may soon be set for a longer third season than originally announced.
According to an assortment of media reports, NBC and Warner Brothers are in talks for a six episode extension of the midseason spy dramedy's original order.
After several months on the renewal bubble last spring, NBC picked up 13 episodes of "Chuck" to premiere in March after the Olympics. The possible six-episode extension would bring "Chuck" to 19 episodes and would seem to lend credence to rumors that NBC has considered an earlier-than-expected return for "Chuck," though nothing even slightly concrete has been announced.
In fact, there seems to be at least some ambiguity as to whether NBC and Warner Brothers have inked the pact for the new half-dozen. Variety and The Hollywood Reporter both say it's a done deal, while TheWrap just says an agreement is close.
We'll update the story when more news becomes available.
