Ra Ra Riot hit the road with Death Cab For Cutie, Andrew Bird

Ra Ra Riot have a busy summer ahead of them. The Syracuse, N.Y.-based rock quartet has been tapped by a pair of critically acclaimed and commercially successful groups - Death Cab For Cutie and Andrew Bird - to open for them on several tour dates in July. They share the stage, too, with The New Pornographers on the same DCFC tour, plus are slated to appear at Lollapalooza, All Points West and San Diego Street Scene festivals. After, Ra Ra Riot will set out on a headlining tour of its own in September and October with Maps & Atlases and Princeton.

The stint add fuel to fire after the band's most recent record "The Rhumb Line" sent critics' fingers a-flying. The dramatic, yet playful, rock songs boast a strings section, vocalist Wesley Miles' smooth range and an Arcade Firey emotional presence.

If you can't wait for another Ra Ra Riot record to touchdown, then perhaps an investment in Discovery is what you need. Discovery - Miles' sideproject with Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij - is releasing its debut effort "LP" on July 7 via XL.
