Paul McCartney schedules D.C. stadium show

Paul McCartney

The new Mets stadium won't be the only field Paul McCartney graces this year. The former Beatle will be performing a concert at the Washington Redskins' FedExField on Aug. 1.

The Beatles played their very first show on American soil in Washington, D.C.; the stadium sits right outside the U.S. capitol, marking a historic return for McCartney.

Tickets for this rain-or-shine one-off go on sale on June 26 at 10 a.m. EST.

If this concert is anything like his other performances this year, fans can expect a 2+ hour show, with songs from The Beatles catalogue, McCartney's solo career and his stint with Wings. McCartney's latest release, "Electric Arguments," released under his alias The Fireman last year.

Since you shan't be satisfied with just this little bit of Beatles news, check out our interview with George Harrison's widow Olivia here.

This is how I might have looked back in the day. I am presently an usher at the Hollywood Bowl and would love to see Mr. McCartney in concert again at the Hollywood Bowl.
I saw the Beatles at Dodger's Statium in 1966, the next to the last live Beatle Concert!
