'New Moon' soundtrack release bumped up as full album leaks
Listen to complete songs from the much-anticipated album, release moved to Friday
"Twilight Saga: New Moon" soundtrack
The "Twilight Saga: New Moon" soundtrack, on of the most anticipated albums this year, has been leaked in full to the internet, thus Chop Shop/Atlantic has moved up its release to this Friday instead of next Tuesday. Or "due to overwhelming and unprecedented demand," according to an Atlantic press release. Right.
Songs started making the rounds on Sunday, and the cuts from Grizzly Bear, Thom Yorke and Bon Iver & St. Vincent have been most widely circulated. Stereogum, in fact, has posted all three of those tracks, and boy do they sound good. Do you think Yorke's chorus is more of an anthem for Edward or Jacob?
ultra9201 has the Lykke Li "Possibility" stream. There's a .zip of The Killers' "A White Demon Love Song" floating around. DailyMotion boasts Hurricane Bells' "Monsters" and Sea Wolf's "The Violent Hour." The Alexandre Desplat-penned
"New Moon" theme song is up on the official YouTube page for the soundtrack. The Queen-tastic remix of Muse's "I Belong to You," Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's creepy "Done All Wrong," OK Go's "Shooting the Moon" (of which there are also several live versions) and Editors' "No Sound But the Moon" are all posted below, available on YouTube.
Anya Marina and Death Cab For Cutie have already revealed their tracks.
Due to the immense amount of pre-orders that have been inevitably placed, on top of the pure fandom for this film and for fans to-come, sales will likely still be mega-strong when it comes to the album sales charts. The last soundtrack bowed at No. 1 and stayed on The Billboard 200 for almost a year.
