Cliff Curtis, Jamey Sheridan and Kevin Rankin are also set for 'Trauma' pilot
Derek Luke
Currently co-starring in the nation's top-grossing movie, Derek Luke is mulling a move to the small screen, taking a lead in NBC's drama pilot "Trauma."
Also joining the cast of the Universal Media Studio-produced EMT procedural are Cliff Curtis, Jamey Sheridan and NBC favorite Kevin Rankin.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Luke ("Notorious," "Madea Goes to Jail") will play a trauma doctor and family man.
Curtis ("Live Free or Die Hard") will play a surgeon and adrenaline junkie, with Sheridan ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent") as the doctor who runs the trauma center.
Rankin, whose recent NBC credits include "Friday Night Lights" and "Bionic Woman," will play a firetruck-driving paramedic.
In other NBC medical drama casting news, Guillermo Diaz ("Weeds") will play a male nurse in "Mercy."
