January 10, 2010 at 7:13PM EST Reply to CommentWhile there are several women who could be the American Jane Tennison in The Prime Suspect remake, they need to get Sigourney Weaver. End of story.
dan Juke Early - Helen Mirren was 45 when "Prime Suspect" began and NBC will try to go at *least* that young, if not a few years younger. Speaking only for me personally, if I were NBC, I'd offer Jennifer Connelly the sun, moon and stars to do this. But that's just my vote... - Daniel

Signourney would be great casting. Not sure she'd do a TV series though.
January 10, 2010 at 9:29PM ESTTrekscribbler I could go for Joan Allen in the lead role. Having watched a few of the PRIME SUSPECT originals, I think Joan could bring greater subtlety to the role than Weaver could.
