It's never easy to spot the right trends in the entertainment world, but here at HitFix we take pride in delivering the sort of insights only insanely addictive pop culture personalities can provide. And if you're reading this on New Year's weekend we'll take a guess you might fall into that category too. So, here are some takes that should satisfy your craving for an entertainment fix.

2009 saw its share of buddy comedies, vampires, bad Gerard Butler flicks and toy sequels, but 2010 will be a tad different. Some oldies will be making a comeback (in more ways than one) and some new stars and genres are on the horizon as well. Robert Pattinson is out? Are you guys out of your minds? He's been on every single cover this year. GQ, Vanity Fair, Premiere, Harper's Bazaar, Rolling Stones, over 4 EW covers and etc. This guy is so not out. His new movie Remember Me is comming out in March. Wow this list SUCKS!

Pattinson on the out list is ridiculous. He has movies lined up with talented actors, like Uma Thurman, Chris Cooper, Lena Olin, Rachel Weitz, Hugh Jackman. Then take a look at the plot of Lautners upcoming project. It sounds like a joke - saving his kidnapped buddies during spring break from a drug cartel.Of course he does this by using his martial arts skills!.He'll be out soon enough - way out.

Taylor Lautner has no personality. His muscles can only generate so much interest. He was fresh meat these past two months cause he got all bulky, but his fans are way young and too fickle. He has not taken Robert's throne, I can guarantee it. For one, the kid is just too short, he can't reach it. Two. it's Robert "effing" Pattinson we're talking about.
