Michael Vartan scrubs in for TNT's 'Time Heals'
'Alias' star joins Jada Pinkett Smith in the medical drama
Michael Vartan
Michael Vartan is set to star opposite Jada Pinkett Smith in TNT's "Time Heals."
Pinkett Smith, who also executive produces the series, stars as the director of nursing at a Charlotte hospital.
Sources confirm to HitFix that Vartan will step in for original pilot co-star Jeffrey Nordling as the hospital's director of medicine. As one might imagine, Pinkett Smith and Vartan's characters frequently bump heads, but there may also be feelings there.
David Julian Hirsh, Laura Kenley, Christina Moore and Suleka Mathew also star in the John Masius-created pilot.
TNT gave "Time Heals" a 10-episode pick-up back in January and set the drama for a 2009 premiere.
Best known as Michael Vaughn on ABC's beloved "Alias," Vartan's most recent series credit was ABC's short-lived "Big Shots." His feature credits include "Monster-in-Law," "Rogue" and "One Hour Photo."
