Matt Damon to reunite with Clint Eastwood in the 'Hereafter'
Duo's second film together after this December's 'Invictus'
Matt Damon has earned Clint Eastwood's respect by starring in back-to-back films by the Hollywood legend.
Having already worked together on this December's awards contender "Invictus," Matt Damon and Clint Eastwood have decided to reunite on the new Warner Bros. thriller "Hereafter."
According to Variety, the project is Eastwood's first foray into the supernatural and features a storyline the studio would like to keep under wraps a la "The Sixth Sense."
The movie was written by Peter Morgan, who received Oscar nominations for his screenplays for "The Queen" and "Frost/Nixon." Steven Spielberg is one of the film's executive producers, but DreamWorks is not involved in the production.
Eastwood rarely works with the same actor twice, so this is a high compliment to Damon from the master filmmaker. Two notable exceptions being Morgan Freeman ("Unforgiven," "Million Dollar Baby," "Invictus") and Marcia Gay Harden ("Space Cowboys," "Mystic River").
Damon next release is "The Informant" which opens nationwide on Friday.
"Hereafter" will begin production this fall.

September 17, 2009 at 9:30PM EST Reply to CommentIt'll be an interesting challenge for Clint as he's never made a ghost story before. Yet it's so typical of the guy that he's still hungry for new challenges.
At this rate he'll have worked his way through every genre we have.
Incidentally, seeing as Hereafter starts shooting this fall that will make a total of TEN Eastwood directed movies this decade & he'll turn 80 next year! I'm stunned by that. The man is tireless.

COUNTLESS BIT PART ACTORS THAT HAVE SIGNIFICANT SPEAKING PARTS HAVE BEEN IN HIS FILMS MULTIPLE TIMES AS WELL.
Whoever wrote this article must have been born after most of the above mentioned films were made.
