Listen: New Weezer track '(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To'
Update: Band reveals album title
Weezer
Four songs have now surfaced from the forthcoming new Weezer album, "If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" the latest of these. Check out the track below.
The band premiered three other songs -- "Can't Stop Partying," "I'm Your Daddy" and "The Girl Got Hot" -- last month on tour overseas. The titles make us grimace, but are still at least better than "Pork and Beans."
Drummer Patrick Wilson also made reference to a track "In the Mall" earlier in the year. No word yet if any of these -- except for "...I Want You To" -- will make the final tracklist.
The as-yet-untitled effort is due Oct. 27 and comes quick on the heels of the rock-pop group's last red-colored self-titled set (or "The Red Album"), released last year.
This new album will for the first time ever feature tour drummer Josh Freese as a percussionist.
As for "If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To," well, we dig it. It's got that old-school clap-track, with cute lyrics and a balloon-bursting summertime chorus, reminiscent of Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle." It's got a patent-leather sheen, sure, but at least you can sing along.

This song is decent. Also, the video works in Canada, unlike the other leak. :D
