Kris Allen, Sean Kingston set for Billboard New Year's Eve gig

Kris Allen, Sean Kingston, Allison Iraheta and host Carmen Elektra have all been tapped to help ring in the new year for FOX later this month. "Billboard's New Year's Eve Live" will be broadcast from New York and Las Vegas.
Additionally, some time will be spent honoring the winners of the Billboard Music Awards, who are announced in the trade magazine's year-end issue. The special will also celebrate the top television shows and movies of 2009.
This marks one of the few gigs Kris Allen has played since the release of his album and his "American Idol" win -- appropriate that he's helping "AI's" home network with its New Year's Eve party. Iraheta, another "AI" star, released her debut "Just Like You" on Dec. 1. Kingston made his mark this year with the single "Fire Burning."
