Jessica Alba will guest star in the special post-Super Bowl episode of "The Office."

NBC announced Tuesday (Dec. 16) that Alba will join Jack Black on the Sunday, Feb. 1 episode of "The Office," which will likely capitalize on its Super Bowl XLIII lead-in to become the Emmy-winning comedy's most watched episode.

The plot of the episode will find some members of the Dunder-Miflin team watching a bootlegged Hollywood movie during the workday. That movie will star Black and Alba, plus several other Hollywood heavyweights.

Zap2it.com is reporting that the guest star list will also include Cloris Leachman.

The Super Bowl "Office" is tentatively scheduled to begin at 10:30 p.m. ET, though the whims of the Big Game could push that time back.

Alba launched her career on the small screen, playing the lead role in James Cameron's "Dark Angel." In addition to snagging a coveted Teen Choice Award as favorite TV actress, Alba was nominated for a Golden Globe for the FOX series.

Best known for big screen turns in the "Fantastic Four" movies and "Sin City," Alba had mixed returns for her 2008. While neither of her major big screen releases -- "The Eye" and "The Love Guru" -- found any box office traction, married Cash Warren and gave birth to daughter Honor Marie.
