Mischa Barton is ready to return to the small screen with a drama pilot on The CW.

But it isn't the CW drama pilot you may be expecting.

Barton, who was briefly rumored to be circling The CW's reboot of "Melrose Place," has actually secured a lead role in the Ashton Kutcher-produced "A Beautiful Life."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barton will play slipping supermodel Sonja in "A Beautiful Life," which focuses on a co-ed models' residence in New York City.

Barton, no stranger to modeling herself, is best known as the ill-fated Marissa Cooper on FOX's "The O.C." Since her run on "The O.C." ended, Barton has appeared in a number of features, but if the names "Closing the Ring," "St. Trinian's," "Virgin Territory," "Walled In" and "Assassination of a High School President" don't sound familiar to you, you shouldn't feel too bad.
