GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) — DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. says it will return to an island where Vikings and dragons once fought with a sequel to "How to Train Your Dragon" in 2013.

The original, released in March, got off to a bumpy start but has since powered its way to nearly $500 million in worldwide box office. The sequel is also set for release in 3-D.

The sequel will again feature the voice of Jay Baruchel as Hiccup, Craig Ferguson as Gobber and America Ferrera as Astrid.

Last year, DreamWorks said it was ramping up production of movies so it will release five movies every two years, up from about two a year previously.

The company's small number of releases has meant that big swings in quarterly earnings from year to year are common.
