Salma Hayek looking to laugh in Adam Sandler's next
Maya Rudolph and Colin Quinn (not a misprint) also on board
Salma Hayek tries to ignore the spotlight, but that will be hard starring in Adam Sandler's next flick.
After a successful guest starring stint on "30 Rock," Salma Hayek is bringing her comic sensibilities to a new endeavor, Adam Sandler's next flick. Variety reports Hayek, Maya Randolph and Colin Quinn are joining the cast of Sandler's untitled comedy at Columbia Pictures.
As you'd expect from Sandler's long list of lovely onscreen wives, Hayek is on board to play the wife of the summer movie season staple and Rudolph will play co-star Chris Rock's spouse. The comedy finds Sandler, Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider and David Space as five high school best friends who reunite 20 years later on a July 4th weekend.
The project is becoming something o a "Saturday Night Live" reunion as Rock, Schneider, Spade, Rudolph and Quinn all spent significant years at the TV institution.
An executive producer of "Ugly Betty," Hayek will next seen as the bearded lady in Universal Picture's "Cirque du Freak."
Rudolph's next project is Sam Mendes first foray into comedy, "Away We Go" which will be released later this year.
Director Dennis Dugan ("You Don't Mess With The Zohan") is hoping to begin production on the new picture later this summer.

March 18, 2009 at 1:39PM EST Reply to CommentComing back to Adam Sandler, considered o be one of the funniest man of the planet, we must say that life wasn`t that easy for him. I read at http://www.projectweightloss.com about the diet he is on in order to get in shape. He admitted having worked out Adam Sandler style.
