Have you been waiting for a collaboration between Halle Berry and the middle kid from "Malcolm in the Middle"?

If so, Variety says to get ready for "Who Is Doris Payne," a fact-based drama written by Eunetta Boone.

Over 50 years, the real Doris Payne worked as a con-woman/jewel thief, making off with expensive baubles wherever she went. When American authorities began to suspect her, she took her skills overseas. Frequently arrested, the 78-year-old Payne was most recently serving time stemming from a Las Vegas robbery.

"Who Is Doris Payne" comes from the J2 production banner founded by Jason Felts and former "Malcolm in the Middle" star Justin Berfield.

To be fair, Berfield's production shingle has been quite busy. On the small screen, J2's credits include "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive" and FOX's "Sons of Tucson" pilot, while J2 just completed work on the feature "An Invisible Sign of My Own," starring Jessica Alba.

Berry was most recently seen in "Things We Lost in the Fire" and "Perfect Stranger."
