2009 may be ending as the 'season of George Clooney' with the popular actor, producer and director starring in three upcoming releases, but his 2010 slate may be just as full.  Clooney is currently shooting the Anton Corbign thriller "The American," but he's also in talks to follow that up with Fox Searchlight's "Descendants."

Variety reports the dramedy will follow a wealthy landowner (Clooney) who takes his two daughters on a search for his wife's new companion in hopes of keeping his family together. Payne's first feature since 2004's "Sideways," the picture is scheduled to begin shooting in Hawaii this February.

Fans of Clooney will find the Oscar winner in theaters this weekend in the comedy "The Men Who Stare At Goats."  He'll return later in November as the voice of "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" and then jump back into the awards season hunt with "Up in the Air" in December.
