James Franco and Danny McBride reunite for 'Your Highness'
'Pineapple Express' director David Gordon Green also on board
James Franco has found his comedic sensibilities with Danny McBride and director David Gordon Green.
HitFIx confirms that James Franco and Danny McBride are reuniting for "Your Highness," a new comedy from their "Pineapple Express" director David Gordon Green. And no, it's not continuing the marijuana theme from "Express" that the title suggests.
Set during medieval times, the fantasy comedy centers on two spoiled princes. After an evil wizard casts a spell on their father, the King, and kidnaps the older prince's fiance they embark on a quest to save their family and the kingdom.
McBride and Ben Best wrote the screenplay and McBride is also an executive producer on the project.
Franco has not shot a new film since "Milk" in 2008. He's currently portraying Allen Ginsberg in the Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman co-directed drama "Howl."
McBride, who just appeared in the limited TV series "Eastbound & Down" on HBO, has a very funny cameo in "Observe and Report" later this month. He'll be seen this June alongside buddy Will Ferrell in "Land of the Lost."
Gordon and McBride are forming quite a partnership. Gordon directed three episodes of "Eastbound & Down."
"Highness" begins production in Belfast, Northern Ireland this July.
