FOX announces 2009-10 fall premiere dates
Find out when 'Dollhouse,' 'Fringe,' 'House' and 'Glee' will be returning
Eliza Dushku of 'Dollhouse'
On Monday (June 15) morning, FOX announced its fall premiere dates for the 2009-2010 season and since we're sure our readers all want to know the same thing, here it goes... "'Til Death" will return on Friday, September 18.
The long wait is over!
We kid.
FOX's premiere schedule is actually fairly traditional by FOX standards, without the usual late-August/early-September jump on the fall season, perhaps due to the network's somewhat reduced commitment to the Major League Baseball post-season. Instead of starting everything early with the awareness that the playoffs will cause
most shows to go dark for the entire month of October, FOX will doing a steady roll-out starting on Wednesday, September 16, with the premiere of a new installment of "So You Think You Can Dance" and the premiere/return of "Glee."
"Bones" and "Fringe" will both be back the following night (September 17), with the new comedy "Brothers," the aforementioned return of "'Til Death" and the second season launch of "Dollhouse" coming on Friday, September 18.
The next week will see the two-hour season premiere of "House" on Monday, September 21 and the Animation Domination premieres -- "The Simpsons," "The Cleveland Show," "Family Guy" and "American Dad" -- coming on Sept. 27.
Other premieres of note include "Lie to Me" on September 28 and the tentatively titled "The Wander Sykes Show" kicking off on November 7 at 11 p.m.
FOX is the second network to announce its fall premiere dates, following ABC, which will mostly start its launch the week of September 21.
