FOX continues to work to remove the drama of its Monday (May 18) upfront presentation, ordering another pilot to series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reincarnation crime-fighting drama "Past Life" (formerly "Reincarnationist") has been picked up, adding the Warner Bros. TV production to a slate of new shows that already includes "Glee," "The Cleveland Show" and the newly ordered "Human Target" and "Sons of Tucson."
"Past Life" features Kelli Giddish, Nick Bishop, Ravi Patel and Richard Schiff as a team of investigators who use reincarnation and regression to solve problems.
Just because FOX has been picking up pilots left and right doesn't mean that there aren't a few mysteries with Monday approaching. While the versatile relationship procedural "Bones" is still considered a lock to return, contractual negotiations between FOX and 20th Century Fox TV are reportedly making the process a bit slower than previously expected.
The network also hasn't announced the fate of "Dollhouse" or "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," though in an effort to get page viewers, the trades keep mentioning that "Dollhouse" is still in contention, even if the stories themselves have nothing to do with "Dollhouse."
Other FOX pilots still in the mix include the comedy "Brothers" and the medical drama "Maggie Hill."
